The main responsibility of this role is to ensure the efficient and effective running of the entire property in the absence of the General Manager.  The role of Duty Manager is constructed around the levels of business within the organisation and this will include being rostered during nights and weekends.
  • To be aware of the daily operations of the property e.g number of residents, F&B bookings.

  • To act as support to all departments in ensuring smooth operation of the property and to be present in the departments and take a hands on approach during peak times.

  • To be aware of business in the hotel and to be innovative with regards to proposals and ideas to increase overall business sales.

  • Excellent attention to detail and focus on exceptional customer service.

  • Build an excellent rapport and relationship with existing and new clients.

  • To ensure that all areas, back of house and front of house, are clean and presented to five star standards.

  • To lead and motivate staff and ensure that all staff perform their duties in a friendly, efficient and courteous manner.

  • To deal professionally and effectively with all customer complaints. 

  • To prepare statistics/forecasts/reports as requested by the General Manager.

  • To read, understand and carry out your responsibilities as defined in the Health and Safety Statement and Staff Handbook.

  • To comply with company procedures/legislation regarding: Fire, Health and Safety, Hygiene, Customer Care & Security
